Left Hand/Right Hand DoorsDoors come in left hand/right hand in swing and left hand/right hand out swing. So which one do you buy when your have to replace one and how do you tell? Heres a tip: for interior doors, open the door fully and stand inside the jam with your back against the hinges. If the door opens to your right, its a right hand door. If if opens to your left, its a left hand door. Now, if its an exterior door, use the same technique but then you also need to specify whether you want in swing or out swing. Thats just personal preference most of the time but application sometimes will determine the swing of the door.
